Elura 100, Camcorder of the Year

The word is out there, a camcorder that has been around for over a year now has received the camera of the year award from camcorderinfo.com, and personally I believe they got it right but missed a couple details. Not really missed, it was more like unappreciated, when you come to realize the this little camcorder that now goes for around $320 can do so much there is no competitor in that price range.

Let start with simple features like the integrated lens cap, smart feature that lets stop save time while protecting your camcorder lens. True 16:9 recording feature, while some other camcorders in this price range only gets you a letter box style widescreen view this little camera gives you a full feature real widescreen view.

The greatest feature of all is the analog to digital converter. If you are like me, I have a box full with old VHS tapes, wondering how to get them to DVD is not a problem most converters goes from $50 to $200 while most are not compatible with Mac OS X, this little camcorder executes flawlessly. Just plug any analog device such as a VCR, old Hi-8, or almost any analog camcorder thru an analog input and set the camera with your computer thru firewire and you are set to go.

Conversions are real time, whatever the time of the video is that what the transfer time will be. After the fact adjustments will depend of the type of software you have to edit videos and codec to convert them. Say bye, bye to those old VHS without the need of buying any other special equipments with this super amazing camcorder from Canon. Elura 100.
