Automattic Release Akismet 2.1.1

Some of us are fan of Akismet, a spam filtering tools created for Wordpress by the people that put Wordpress together. Today we got an early holiday gift, Akismet went from version 2.0.2 to version 2.1.1.

I download it and install it already, the track record for Akismet as announce on their home page is 3,879,655,770 spams caught. If you are a user of Akismet, you should download the plugin immediately to benefit from some of their new feature.

One of the new features is that you can filter by comment type, also they added a new hook so that other plugins can add sub-nav to the comments page. Head to http://akismet.com/download/ to download and install the new version of Akismet now.

    Note that Akismet was already updated to 2.1.2.

    Just to let everyone know, I just notice that Akismet v. 2.1.3 is out. Update your code ASAP. ;)
